Is anybody holding plans or a kit for the Scientific Giant Kingpin, designed by Walt Musciano. It appears in many of Scientific's ads from the middle 1960's.
I've consulted my local Musciano medium, Currell Pattie, and Walt himself, with negative results. Altough not a match for the Shark 45 or Olympic, it is a nice classic-legal sport profile.

Hi Paul,
Tom Dixon has the plans for the Giant Kingpin. I think they are redrawn tracings from kit parts.
I have his Giant Stuntmaster plans, and they are pretty true to the kit parts.

Thanks, I now can see the goods on Dixon's menu.
A day late and $10 short in my case, I just went ahead and free-handed one from the 1965 ad.
Oh no ! Not a kit ! I wanted to build something that isn't a kit !
The dyed Dharma silk is "Carmella Soprano orange".

I have the plans and I have some extra copies if you want one. I have the laser cutter working on having the CAD work done and expect to have a kit available later this year. For other Musciano designed kits check my web site:

I got impatient, I need this plane next week,,,just knocked one out from the old mag ad.
This was a benchstock build, no new money, just what's under the table.
OK, so it's a Sterling pilot in a Scientific plane, but I can't stand the "empty cockpit" look.

I know that you already built one but just as an up date the kit will be out by October.
