Lark vs Skylark by Ed Southwick... Are these the same aircraft ?

Is the only difference the Skylark is the Sterling kit name?

If they are different.. anybody know where plans are available for the Lark??

The "Lark" is available through AMA's plan site. The cross ref. is Pond plan service No. 44A1. There aer three "Skylarks listed, Dare 31" span, 33G8, (I know, you don't want that one), Pallet 53" span 45B7and a Dixon plan with a 54" span, 44A5.

Good luck, Jerry

PS: One of the Mackey Larks has an elliptical wing.

Ed Southwick's Lark is an elliptical wing version of the Skylark. Ken Smith did kits of each many years ago with plans done by Bill Byles and signed off on by Ed. The Sterling kit is smaller, but is still an excellent flyer. Then there is the magazine plan which is sorta in between. The RSM kit comes with rats to build one of each version of the Skylark. I don't know if anyone is offering any plans for the Lark.

I actually did the CAD plans for the elliptical wing Lark for Walter Umland. Give him a call, he should be able to hook you up with a kit.
