Midwest has a differant more modern wing that has a sheeted LE

Thanks, Randy. Does the modern wing make it a much better flying model?

Hummm?
Although I have only built one and flown 3 Kenhi Panther's (that however was only around 57 years ago)
Personally...I loved the appearance of the Kenhi wing (even though the sheeting might add a little extra stiffness....aerodynamically speaking...I would personally think the original just might actually be a tad betta...HOWEVER????
"HEY GARY LETSINGER...IF U ARE LURKING? ( GARY is one of Boeing's most noted aerodynamical wizards....just might add some insight here? To me...That was the most beautiful vintage sunt machine of the entire Kenhi line.
attached is photo from an old magazine add and also a photo of an interesting but modified RC model version...(somehow seems to have lost quite a bit of artistic design concept of the Kenhi kit.

Thanks, Donaldo! I always thought the Panther was a very pretty stunter. y1

Yep and you can use that plan along with the Midwest plan, I have a near perfect Midwest kit with plan if you are really going to build one, so that will take care of that

This thread is about the Panther wing, however do the same comments hold for the Cougar wing? Does the Kenhi Cougar have an open wing with turbulator spars and the Midwest (& RSM) a sheeted LE?
Always thought they would look better with inverted engines too...
EDITED for idiocracy: b1 :o ::) :-[ HB~> HB~> HB~>
OOOOPS, looked at the Cougar at the RSM site, their show model has a clear finish and it clearly shows a planked LE. Further they state it is the KENHI Cougar.
so never mind....

Hi Dennis
Yes my kits of the Kenhi Cougar and the original plans in them show a sheeted LE, although it would not surprise me to findout that some early ones may have been built with the spars as the first Panther was

The plans for the Panther that Randy sells are some of the most beautiful drawing you will ever see in a set of plans. These really are suitable to be framed and hung on the wall. All 10 feet or so of them. Really more then your moneys worth.

Those pictures make me want to jump my Midwest Panther ahead in my to-do list. Preferably before the wife and son try to talk me into puting all my older kits and engines up on fleabay again.
