I am presently working on a P-39 that Walter Umland kitted.  On the plans it states that the wing has a 2 inch difference between the inboard and out board panels.  It was designed that way.  It also states that wing should be centered more to be more/easier to fly the pattern.  My thinking is that if I fly Classic or Nostalgia it should stay as designed.  To me it would be like moving landing gear on an All American Sr to get it to land better.  No go.  Later,  DOC Holliday

I guess if you are looking for the absolute maximum fidelity points, you should build it as originally designed.

On the other hand, if you are looking for maximum flying points, you could shift the wing a little.

As a teenager back in the sixties, we fudged these designs a lot. Too bad I didn't bother to ever record the changes. None of us knew there would someday be a Classic stunt event.  n~

For me, it's an easy call: I want/need the flying points.  :## :##
