Title: Classic P-47 designed by Don Herdman
Post by: Matt Colan on February 13, 2009, 06:24:46 PM
Hi

Here is a couple of pics of my grandfather's P-47 Razorback that he designed back in 1967.  This plane will be published in Flying Models probably in the summer.

Some of the numbers are, 10 inch nose, 15 inch tail (hinge line to Hinge line), a 54 inch wingspan and somewhere around 600 sq. This plane will be powered by an LA .46

Enjoy!!!  H^^

ewl...
I've seen Grampa's work.....it looks like you're following in his footsteps.
I'm sure he's proud!

Don, I really like your version of the JUG!!! I have often thought about building Charles Parrots version, but look forward to seeing yours in FM.

I don't have any pics of it, but he now has it in primer and got a good deal of cockpit detail in it.  I'll post pics today when I go over to his house.
