Title: Brodak Olympic
Post by: James Mills on April 12, 2008, 06:07:56 PM
This question is for those who have built this kit.  Did you go strictly by the kit or did you make changes (horn, push rod, or...)?

Hi James,  I built mine as close to the kit as I could powered with a Brodak .40 and stock muffler.  It was one plane I thoroughly happy with.  Wind got me in Iowa the last time it flew.  Was coming out of the clover on the down side when gust of wind got me.  It almost pancaked, but, too much internal damage.  Will build another one of these days.  Later,  DOC Holliday

Doc,

Good looking plane.  I think the only changes I'm going to make is changing to Tom Morris controls and will build the wing with his 3 piece leading and trailing edge.  Will power with a Magnum 36.
