Title: Anybody have more info/photos/plans on these Dan Shafer ships?
Post by: Chad Hossack on February 24, 2011, 03:25:01 PM
Does anyone out there have any more photographs, information, or plans on this green Dan Shafer design?

The first two tiny poor scans are out of July 76 MAN. The first one shows Mr Shafer with the sleek green machine at the 75 Southeastern CL championships. The second small photo is of the finalists with Mr Shafer holding the green machine in question.

The third photo of the red similar design of Mr Shafer's is scanned out of November 76 MAN, just four months later, and it is called the Double Exposure. It is powered by a HP 40.

Been wondering this for many years.

Thanks, Chad.

Can't help you, but judging by the people in the group picture, it looks like a team selection for the FAI team.

I always liked his planes. But I got nothing.
