Shot taken at the 68 nats in Olatha...just after they returned from world cup.
Check out that great Gieske Plan patterned shirt that Bobby G is pointing out where he mentioned...also on the same roll was a photo of Lew McFarland...
(notice where he had to CHOP OFF and re-glue the wing tip onto his NEW OVERSIZED SHARK 45..that he made especially for the World Cup that didn't quite fit into the aircraft sized cargo holes of their stretched DC-8 airliner. LL~
"trace standard Nobler plans...WITH A FAT MARKING PEN!!!" Hummm? How's that for a new engineering term?" ( We got quite a laugh out of that...when Tim Dunlop asked him to point out where he made that remark that we were ribbin him over LL~

Steve,
Ever thought of doing a Palmer Venus in a Shell Lightning scheme? The colors are just your style!

I don't know the color scheme Palmer used on his Venus. I made mine to resemble other Lockheed planes: dark blue fuse and orange wings, etc. Cowling is a nice polished aluminum job.
