Hi Ty,

Thanks for the article.  One of that "pair" is hanging in the AMA museum.  I didn't realize anyone didn't know that the *New* Thunderbird easily falls within almost 10 years of being *legal*.  :o  Introduced in 1959, IIRC.

yes, it is a good article, and good reference if anyone would like to copy Mr. Palmer's T-Bird.

Actually Ty, The first version would be legal with trike gear, Radial cowl, (not at the same time though) but not with the engine inverted, unless one has the documentation. The 59 T'Bird, with the bubble canopy, as shown in the two pictures above, do indeed have the engine inverted, but they are the later version. Still, trike gear would be legal with it as well.  H^^

Here's a picture taken around 61-62 of a MK11 Tbird with an upright thrust line mounted engine. This would be an interesting vesion to model.
