Sooo Ted....

I found a picture of Miss Bicentennial in an old stunt news, circa June 88 I guess.
Is that related to the original Moby Dick???

Holy Cow, Jim!  I've no idea.

It's entirely possible that the jet styled ship that Schultzie posted a picture of might have been called that a time or two.  It was built for the bicentennial nats and had 1776 on the left wing and 1976 on the right (asymmetrical, of course).  The name Moby Dick was real developed well after the ships flew competitively.  The name, obviously, reflecting their somewhat porcine nature.

Kinda high aspect ratio, blue canopy up on the nose. Black with, I think, red, orange and white trim? A bit jetty looking?

I always liked this plane and have seen it fly several times. Ted said it didn't fly very well (or at least that it never met it's potential). The thing was light as a feather, but had a fairly high aspect ratio wing.

What what its worth...that model in light wind conditions....was one of the best stunt models that I have ever flown and not only turned perhaps the tightest corners with pos-o-lutely NO BOBBLE OR BAR BELLIES'!!! CLP** BW@
I hear Ted didn't like that model in higher winds...plus that ST-46 and whatever tank arrangement was in that model...SOLD ME ON SUPER TAGS' from that day forward.
Teds models however to me...have always been in a class by themselves, not only from a design standpoint...but equally important how they fly the pattern and nothing to me...is more visually stunning that a TED FANCHER stunt machine.

I don't think Ted was happy with it because it was high aspect ratio, very light and covered in Monokote.   ;D
