Title: Winter Carrier rehab.
Post by: Paul Smith on February 22, 2016, 12:40:32 PM
Here in Detroit, south of 8 Mile, we fly a tough breed on carrier, off a concrete (not plywood) deck.  While this saves a lot setup effort, it scuffs up the toys pretty bad.  So while they're out flying F2D in the snow in The Ukraine, I'm in the warmth of my basement patching up the the last few year's damage.

Beef up hook.
Longer tail skid.
Patch broken flippers.
Nose skid in lieu of wheel.
Battery moved out board.
New radio hatch.
New servo, arm and throttle rod.
8-color paint repair.

New all-up weight : 26 ounces.

Paul
I know where you are coming from. I practice with a concrete deck also. Mistakes are not tolerated.
