This was a great idea Dave had. There must have been at least 10 or 12 fliers that tried the Skyray. Most made good landings at least one flier entered the contest after taking a test flight.

This a really good contest by the way, for anyone interested in carrier it is one to try and get to. I intend to be back this fall.

John,

Great meeting you and your family,

That was me that had one of the trainer flights, with alot of coaching from my daughter Sarah Davis, got to the deck on the first try then I entered the contest and got to the deck on the official, , no real competitive flight, but it was the first time ever flying a real carrier model, it was a big change from the stunt routine, and I could not believe how hard it was with so much going on at one time,

The throttle really works gret with the 2.4.. If you really like the three line, you will love the 2.4, great in he slack lines mode too, just throttle up and tension is back,

Thanks to David , Sarah, Everette and Jo ,  we have found a great additional event to have at the Huntersville contest,

hope to see all of you at Brodak's

I forget how many people actually flew the trainer but everyone did great. I was just happy that everything ended up being a success.

I cant claim the credit for the idea of letting people fly the trainer because I actually got it from seeing what Bill B. has done with his "Mule" at the Dallas contest. I saw the success he had with that and thought I could do that. My plan was to prove that people don't have to go out and spend a bunch of money to get started in Carrier, especially now with 2.4 being allowed and that it is not as hard as everyone thinks to fly a Carrier plane. I really think that will be a big help to bring in some more people.

Everyone really seemed to enjoy it and I will try to get some pics up some time this week.

Thanks to everyone that flew Carrier for being patient during our extended lunch to get all of the training flights in. I hope to continue doing this at both of our contests.

David
