A lot of us used these props in the old days. I have seen, perhaps four times and maybe more, Class 2 models explode in flight when the prop threw a blade. We even had a prop throw the blade on the ground once, without the engine being at full throttle. So these props, which performed very well for their time, might not be a wise choice for flight (in Class 2 Carrier, anyway, they might be great in other applications) now when we are all extremely conscious of safety issues. I had Al Kelly making fiberglass props for me that were very similar to these and they performed well and were incredibly strong, but they were pretty expensive and a lot of work to prepare each prop. I now use APC 10-7 and 10-8 props. I have not heard of one of these throwing a blade, and they have very good performance.

I used them in the "OLD" day too. On a McCoy 60. they did work well then. Todays engines might not be so forgiving.

Hey Richard I too still have a bunch of the old Rev-Up 10-8W that I used on my McCoy and Rossi.  I only used 10% fuel tho as I was a cheap skate and did not like blowing up engines or props.  I was top dog with the old McCoy in this area for awhile.  DOC Holliday

Forgive me for being "just a bit" off topic, but I noticed some nice carbon fibre props at the Meljik booth in Toledo.

There were for big men who fly mega-scale RC.  Priced at $110 to $140.

I'd just as soon go to an airport and rent an hour in real plane as pay over $100 for a model airplane prop.
