This would be a good looking model for carrier.

I remember reading an article about that plane. Came out of East Russia or China? Very rare indeed!

I think that was the plane that Terry Herron(sp?) had in the 90s that would do around 120 on high speed. I will have to look but I think there was some stuff about it in one of the model aviation issues in 98 about his and I think he had made a mold for doing fiberglass fuses.

Hi Wayne and guys,
The source is the Planes Of Fames/The Air Museum's facebook account.

Doug,
This from Wiki;A surviving restored D4Y1 (serial 4316) is located at the Yasukuni Jinja Yūshūkan shrine in Tokyo, and a second example (serial 7483) was recovered from Babo Airfield, Indonesia in 1991 and is currently being restored by the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino, California to non-flying condition as a D4Y3.
The airplane is mostly original as far as metal skins and such. It was originally an inline version but the Museum converted it to a radial variant on account of missing Aichi Atsuta V-12 engine, and I don't think there are any operational at this time anyway. It is taxiable but not restored to fly. Since it is a The Air Museum airplane it's funds come from the museum directly. It would take up a lot of the funds used to operate the museum to restore it to flying shape.

This is Terry Herron's class II Judy, as seen in Topeka in the late 90's. I believe it had an OPS 65.

Enclosed snapshot is Terry Heron's Judy circa 70/72. This was taken at the Glenview Nats 70 or 72 I cant recall which. I believe it was a Class 1.
Thanks
