what would be a good plane for NW40 Carrier ,by good I mean a Win er y1

the Sterling (or whatever it is now...Brodak?) P-51 mustang. Small, light and works well for the event.

Shouldn't you be heading for the hills? Stay safe bud.

My choice for a newbie to Carrier would be the Brodak Super Fly racer. Use either 2.4 or stacked 3-line Bell cranks, two wheels per rules and have a go at it.  I have built two of them, and they do real well.

That super fly looks a lot like a Mongoose. I have been thinking of building a Mongoose for nostagia and it would be good for NW40 also. It was intended for combat but was published in FM before the cut off date so it is nostagia legal. I used to fly the long tail version in combat. Still have several fuselages, just need a wing.

John, Try the wing set from Brodak's. Should be jus what you need.
