Well I got these plans and decided it would be fun to do and try my electric controls on. As slow as I am it may be summer time I get it air borne. D>K

Well I have some work done on fuselage and finally got wing framed up. The supposedly full size ribs did not fit the wing lay out. Had to resize with computer. Any way it is just going to be a fun type thing for carrier as any thing over 60 mph on high I may need help. LL~ LL~ H^^

What plane is it? I'm not the great Keskin you know!!!

It is my version of the late Bill Melton Profile Gaurdian. D>K

Weekly up date. Have the wing sanded a little, wing tips laminated as I didn't have blocks and I'm using up scraps. Also got landing gear almost done. Stab and elevator waiting for hinges as soon as I remember where I put them. Have a bottle of cloth hinges in the shop some where. Need to make pads for the other engine I'm going to use along with the Fox .25. H^^
Oh, the wing is not glued in place yet. D>K

Getting close to flying season and hope to have this one going. Don't build as fast as I used to. D>K
As plans say 3/16 balsa for rudder/fin I am laminating 1/32 ply between 1/16 balsa.

Doc
Looks very nice. If you are building slow, then I am at a snail's pace

Yeah Doc, it seems like you've built about 6 or 8 planes in the time I've been working on this P-38.

Well I love to build and I usually start another plane while glue/epoxy is setting up on one. It is the finishing I despise. But with new finishing procedure it is not so bad now. The Gaurdian is now in one piece and waiting for detail work. D>K

By the way, I'm making templates for two more planes. HB~>

Well this one is in one piece minus the lead out guide and some other stuff. Need to find my insignia and numbers plus the nylon bell crank. D>K

Spent several days making graphics and browsing inter net for details. This is where I'm at. Now to find my 3 inch ell crank and mount every thing. The Hellcat is what I used for insignia detail.
