Just curious if these engines are used in carrier ever or not?

RoJett's are stunt engines. Developed by Richard Oliver and Jett Engineering. You might try visiting the Jett Engineering web site and inquire to Dubby if he has anything in a high performance motor that will perform well in carrier Class 1 & 2. He is very familiar with the event. Nelsons have been used however are no longer produced and spares would be a difficult situation for backup. Nelsons run well and have great horsepower. Very expensive IMHO.

Thanks guys, I saw a Nelson, somewhere,  for a fairly good price, $65  , we'll see how it is when it shows up 

I also thought I found the parts source for them, I'd have to buy a lot of parts to get near the cost of a new engine, although wait till i get the anchor first

Also thinking about two Traxxas 19's on a twin Mosquito..... they advertise 2.2hp @ 33,000 rpm, not sure if that can be utilized, but it would be interesting after some serious fin removal 

ROJett engines are CL stunt specific engines, built to Richard Oliver's spec's by Jett. Not all Jett's are ROJett's. Adding to the confusion, I have seen "regular" Jett engines that say "ROJett" on them. Mike Greb did run some Jett engines in carrier, and to be honest they were disappointing. Knowing more about these engines now, he probably had more prop on them than they were really happy with. If you already own one, what the heck, give it a try, but I personally wouldn't go out and buy one specifically for carrier. As always, your results may vary.
