My latst Twin Profile, the "Skyrocket"

John, little known fact, but they planned to do just that.  That makes their emblem eligible for Carrier models.  Of course my source wishes to remain secret, 5th amendment and all that stuff. I'm sure you understand.

OK, here goes!  The wing is 44" long and is made from patterns I made and cut from foam.  It is covered with balsa and silk span and is painted with 4 coats of clear dope and 2 coats of Brodak "Cub Yellow" the wing has about 350 Square inches. One ounce buried tip weights.

The body is all balsa and is 26" long.  The two nacells are built using a 1/4" 5 ply basic body with 1/2" balsa doublers.
The tanks are 2 1/2 oz  uniflow. 
The two engines are OS .15 CVA' with either 7x6 APC or 8" MAS props.  I will be using 10% fuel.

2 line control lead outs will be pre-flight adjustable at the wing tip.
Throttle control will be using 2.4 radio control using my original radio set-up.

There are no plans available, but I do have all the card stock patterns available if somebody wants to give this plane a try.

John, Would you believe 34 ounces?  I didn't think so.  I have yet to weigh it, but it does feel a bit porky.  However so do two profiles held up at the same time.  I'll see about it tomorrow.

I wouldnt call 3 pounds over weight for a twin. I would call that pretty dang good. The couple that I have are just barely under 4 pounds.

David, Thanks for the weight comment.  Now, if 2 .15's wont get it off the deck I will simply just use it for playing I am a member of the 'BLACKHWK SQUADRON"  like I did in the mid to late 40's.

Depending on where the deck is located, you should have no problem taking off.   Hard to take off when deck is situated where the wind is blowing down the length of the deck.   I was using or trying to use diesel power at the time at the NATS.
