Moderator needed any takers?
-
How about Lee Thiel or Dale Gleason, both are level headed good guys.. I would do it but I'm a little too politically incorrect for most to accept me as being level headed.
-
I might be interested. what are the qualifications? Can the moderator add to threads? Perhaps Bob's politically incorrect is what is needed however.

Joe has my vote...

Joe Just has my vote also. Have known him a long time. DOC Holliday

I think Joe would do a fine job.

OK, If Robert says ok I will do it IF, AND ONLY IF I can meet the requirement of doing what is needed. I will try to be as fair as possible to all sides of any issue If I do not get the job I will continue to support carrier flying.

Well, Joe, I would second you any time, both intellectually and spiritually. Thanks for stepping up!
-
Don't think Robert has checked this in a while, Joe is the guy but Robert needs to make the change.
-
Joe needs to send Robert a PM taking this position.
-
Yesterday I sent Robert a PM with the link to this thread just as a reminder.. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.
-
Joe Just is the moderator here however I can find him in the data base. Spell it out in plain english what you would like to happen.
-
Can or can't find him in the data base? He posted the 3rd message in this thread..
When you go to this section it says...
Speed,Combat,Scale,Racing > Carrier (Moderator: flybywire)
It needs to say Joe Just.

Hey Joe,
Why just add to threads? Go ahead and do a complete re-write! ;D ;)

How about a defintion?
"Computing Dictionary

A person, or small group of people, who manages a moderated mailing list or Usenet newsgroup. Moderators are responsible for determining which email submissions are passed on to the list or newsgroup."
A moderator is not an editor but someone who either accepts or rejects posts. As in a debate moderator who is not involved in the debate but keeps the participants within the for the rules of the event.

I had eye surgery yesterday, so this may not be thbe berst written thread I ever did.
Bob, all that make sence, but nobody has ever contacted me (I guess I can't be found) on how to do what your description sasys a moderator's job is actually done. If the moderator dosn't know how to block or eliminate a thread what good is a moderator? Also, my computer system (Vista Home basic) does n ot alow me to anser any PM from this or any other forum. Perhaps we should consider somebody else.
