That is a picture of me and my "pancake". I built it in 1971 and flew it a enough to rip the landing gear out and break the booms off. I screwed aluminium gear on and fixed the booms but never flew it again. I put a of40fp on it for this contest but discovered the throttle worked backwards to the way I now fly. I offered it to a couple of flyers at Portland but we ran out of time. I will bring it to Eugene in May and give it a go there.
The other photo is my "square cat" with a os40fp for NW Sport Carrier. It flys very nice and is very dependable.

Hey Dan, have you flown your Wildcat?  I got mine up for several flights last week and it was a lot of fun.  My first ever throttled airplane, and it actually worked.  At least to the point that I can make it fly fast or slow at will, but landing on a deck may be a bigger challenge.  I plan to find out at the Northwest Regionals this month.

Landing is no problem if you remember that the center of the circle is 60 feet from the center of the deck if set up properly.   Which means you have to stand back from center so the handle is over the center spot when ready for landing.   As anything it takes practice. H^^
