Title: Jett .40 class 1
Post by: dankar on November 21, 2011, 11:51:29 AM
Missed out on a Nelson .40, but may have shot at a Jett .40. Side exhaust with tuned muffler. I plan on flying some nostalgia and have that covered. Now build a current class 1 ship with a modern .40. Any input?  My friend has done very well with Nelson's but they are no longer made.  If you can't beat join em !!

Dan,
there are literally hundreds of Nelson 40s out there floating around now since the NMPRA had pretty much killed 428 racing, ( they now use a "sport Jett" thats costs nearly as much) have alook around at pylon racers, you will find lots of them fairly cheap..

Thanks Chris,
I made offer on the Jett but decided I'll get a Nelson. I have seen a few about same price range.  Tucson has an Rc contest this weekend and take a look. They seem to be going electric in a big way.  I found some goodies last year there and hope to do well again.

I have several QM 40 Jett and Q500 that I would be glad to sell and save you some money. I do not fly pylon any more and my son has also given up with his need to attend life. I also have many parts and as you might imagine I have an in at the factory! Many of the engines have never raced or been flown, just bench checked for performance. Jett also makes one of the best carbs on the planet.

ps: I am looking for some nostalgia kits if anyone would like to trade. Class 1 or 2

Richard,
I have a good kit of Sterling Guardian class2 ship.  Maybe some $$ and the kit. Kit as far as I can tell is complete. Plans/ cannopy/l/G/ decals / carved fuse secton. Carved cowl. Plane would make a nice ship either Nostalgia or current Class2. Could also be used as Class 1.  Cheers,Dan

I now have a Jett .40 but first need to finish sport Carrier ship first. Engine looks great and nice machine. Its been a good week for me as I got kit from Joe Just monday and long time friend gave me a new Cyclon.051 as gift. End of week Jett .40 arrived. Should have a few interesting planes next years season.
