Title: IS ONE WAY BETTER THAN ANOTHER
Post by: john vlna on August 29, 2012, 10:00:04 AM
I was wondering if having up elevator on the front BellCrank arm is better or is it better to have down. I 've built planes both ways, but I can't say I notice much difference. Any thoughts?

Not with a carrier airplane, some stunt guys think it makes a difference as it might help with that gyro stuff caused by the prop in a square corner.

If your leadouts come out of separate holes, then perhaps having the up leadout be the rear one may be helpful, especially on a non-slider airplane. It would act like having a bit more slider travel when you are hanging on the up line. If all your lines come out the same hole, there would be no difference.

Thanks guys, You confirm my feelings on the subject. I am building a new all foam electric Seafire based on my 15 and can go either way with the  hook up. By the way I plan to fly it , at least initially with a 2.4Ghz throttle system
