Bob, AMA profiles typically are in the 75-85 MPH range, Sportsman profiles usually are much slower, typically 55-65 MPH.

Thanks for the reply... Wow what engines are they using on Profiles to get 80MPH?

If you can find them, K&B 5.8's on high nitro.  If we weren't limited to nitro content with muffler I think my Webra .32 will do 70 easy.  When is Tulsa going to have a carrier get together?

Bob,
The fastest times are probably with Nelsons or custom motors, and lots of nitro.

My Webra 32 on a heavy Brodak Guardian (very thick airfoil section that does not help either) on 25% nitro would do 75+ mph. There is now a Webra 36 that should be a bit faster.

My stock Nelson combat 36 with an OS carb on 25% nitro fitted to a  Dehavilland Vampire(again a bit heavy for profile) does very close to 90 mph.

I have to note here that it would appear that Bob Reeves has been attacked by the dreaded "Carrier Anticipation" virus!!  Let's all hope he never recovers!  Welcome aboard Bob!

Well Joe you got me... The FJ was a great proof of concept design and now that I know the platform works I'm thinking about a smaller, lighter slider version for profile and also an even smaller version for 15 carrier. If these things work out I might just enter all 3 next year at Brodaks and not fly Old Time ;D

You can fly ALL 3 and OTS.  Just tell the stunt judges you're busy and will fly when available.
