Okay I get that it's a carrier plane and okay with the water but
WHERE THE HECK IS THE BOAT?
Well there might have been a duck in the pond somewhere...
I think David's been watching too many Joe Nall videos!
I think you might be right. I have been there a couple times and seen many pilots put the tail in the water so i saw water and the perfect oppurtunity.
Here are some more pics from the contest.
1. The Guardian in the back is John Saunders. Brodak kit with a TT36. I think he came down from Pennsylvania. The little guardian is a scaled down version of the Brodak kit done by Watt Moore and the big one in front is also Watt Moores. Watts 15 had an O.S. Max 15 and big Guardian had an O.S. 35AX
2. Richard Schneiders group consisted of a Wildcat that if I remember correctly he said started out life as a Shoestring with a TT36 and his 15 that also started out as a Shoestring and morphed into a Fairey Barracuda with a Super Tigre 15.
3. On the left is the Shoemakers line up. They had 2 Brodak Guardians, one with a TT36 and one with a Fox 36, a Bill Caulkins designed Sea Vampire with a GMS 32, 2 Class 2 Fairey Fulmars one electric and one with a K&B 61, a Nostalgia Class 2 Myrt with K&B 61, a 15 Fi-?(I dont remember the number) Firefly, and electric 15 Bf109.
4. Pink Skyray is obviously Sarahs with O.S. 32 SX and a line slider. Yellow and Blue Skyray is mine and has the same engine that Sarahs has but no line slider. Blue and white MO-1 is mine however i didnt fly it because i noticed the throttle and up lines were frayed at one end. it has a reverse rotation Wiley 36. Then the white biplane is Sarahs but i flew it in profile. It is from plans done by Bill Darkow and Phil? I cant remember the last name. It is a Curtiss F7C Seahawk, reverse rotation Nelson 36 conversion.
