Hi Chief,
I almost feel like I know enough about Carrier now that I am sure I don't know a thing! LL~ LL~
Gonna fly a three liner for the very first time once the treatments are over and the weather is nice.

I think that's a shot at us carrier guys, but I'm not smart enough to know for sure! H^^

I have been timer at last two contests here in Tucson,Az. Up front on flight line it takes good skills to keep that bird going. Engine/ pilot/ plane need to be in good shape.
Class 1/class 2 go over 100 mph. Some nostalgia birds are even faster. Stunt if fine but not only game wired for excitement.

Hi Bill. My comment was a compliment as to all the info on here. I wanted to understand why the thin symetrical airfoil, and instead of asking, did the reading and found the answer. Thus not "another silly question that has been answerd ten times" like the any question about the Fox .35 (for instance) on other threads. H^^ H^^
Or Bill could have been referring to my post. ;D

Where in stunt is there any excitement? The only place I even take a deep breath is the first corner of the outside squares. Well, that and admiring the paint jobs and finishes in the pits.
(This is NOT a shot at stunt flyers or the stunt event -- they are enjoyable in their own right, but I wouldn't characterize the flying as exciting).
I have been selling carrier to some of the local newbies as the last place you can do whatever you want to squeeze out performance, massage the engines, make all the noise and nitro fumes you want and still have to learn how to tweek and fly the plane (Since there is no Speed contests near us). The seeds have started to bear a little fruit, as I hope to have at least two new pilots flying a couple of events at our Spring contest.

I was just having a little fun with Bill Little's comment saying (and I am paraphrasing) "I don't know anything about carrier and that's everything I need to know". I'm sure what he really meant was that there is such a wealth of information available courtesy of this site, it's possible to find what you need rather than having to know it already. Isn't that about right? ;)

Sounds good to me. H^^

Hi Bill,
Close enough for government work! I always get an answer I can understand in this section. It helps me realize how little I know, but that the knowledge is available for just the asking.
A GREAT bunch of guys in Carrier!
