Title: Good 15 for carrier?
Post by: Tim Wescott on April 03, 2016, 01:46:41 PM
So, I'm out of the running this year for stunt due to a sore shoulder.  I'm learning to fly left-handed.  I figured out today that while I can't fly stunt, I can probably manage carrier.

I don't have any suitable engines on my shelf for either Northwest 40 or Northwest 15, but I do have a Flying Clown and a Ringmaster that would work (with some work).

Is there a good off the shelf 15 that can be used for casual carrier flying?  I have no chance of winning; I'm more interested in something that'll be easy to start & adjust so I can go out and have fun.

It looks like 40FP's are more common on eBay; I'm thinking of jamming that on a Ringmaster for NW 40.

It will be a fast Ringy for someone used to stunt.   Can you say fun?
