George's new zero and handle

My friend George Marenka recently built a 15 profile Zero with servo control. The handle is very neat so I thought I would share some pictures. The handle has been pull tested at 50 lbs. The radio is the HobbyKing 3channel car, cost only $23.
The installation in the plane is very neat and works great.

This has to be one of the nicest convertions  that I have seen. Very nice job and I don't see why it wouldn't stand one of the heavier pull test in carrier which can be up to 100 pounds. Super job on the plane also, very neat installation. Eric

I agree with you, I plan to make a copy and see what it will stand, but basically it is constructed almost like my handle which has been test pull at 100 lbs.

There already is a supplier for a complete set-up. Try <www.rsaxton.com> Ralph Saxton is really promoting his units for Profile Carrier. Here's my unit, and I love it!

Hey John, I like this set up with the full D shape metal.  My problem and it may be a problem is the pull test on the plastic if it will hold up to the Scale Class carriers.   You know I build heavy and pull usually about 80 plus pounds on my scale ships.   I may go look at this again after Brodaks.

It is not shown, but the other side of the handle contains ply re-enforcement which should handle heavy loads.

That handle looks excellent and should handle any line pull test. That's a good standard to go by!
I wouldn't trust plastic for a stressed anchor.
