Do you mean Brodak Mauler? If it is a Brodak they have the plans for sale. The J.Roberts Mauler kit is a scale full fuselage plane.  Mike

Well, I have bad news or maybe good news.   You may have a one of a kind kit.  Years ago when they decided to make a run of the J-Roberts profile kits I got one of each.   No Mauler profile.  The three I have on the shelf are the Bearcat, Corsair and Skyraider.  A couple of years ago I sold the built up/full fuselage versions of the Mauler and Corsair.   Don't know if any of the profile plans would help or not.    H^^

You have one rare kit there! I wouldn't build it,copy the parts and build a clone. I have only seen one other. I was able to borrow it and build a clone. As for instructions they used the instructions from their Swift kit and added a typed sheet about the Mauler. The same construction method as the Swift and Sabre were used. Look carefully at the box and you will notice it is a Swift box with a full size Mauler label cut out and pasted on then "profile version" stamped in red on it. If you compare the full fuselage version and the profile they are the same size.I made my own plans from the copied parts and copies of the typed sheet. It flew fine but the tongue and grove method for the nose is weak and needs reinforcement doubler's.

The plans I have been working on are 3/4 view plans.   No 3 view like we are used to.   Remember these are from the old days.   Just give this old man some time for someone to beat me to it. H^^

Ty,
I have a Swift kit with the instruction sheet.  It has a bare bones photo and assembly steps illustrated with drawings.  No scale plan.  It reminds me of instructions for a simple plastic model.  I think it would do the job for you since you have the parts.
If you'd like I could send you a photo JPEG.

Well Ty, I have sent a PM as your profile doesn't have your full address.   The Skyraider plans are in the back seat of the old Ford. H^^

Ty, i have the Full Fuse J Roberts Mauler,  and I think the plans are pretty similar except the rib locations in the center.  I was thinking at one time of going the other way and making a full fuse Bearcat out of my Profile one.

Anyway, I can try to get a copy made if you think it would help you or I can very easily take a photo of it as well.

tail hook detail, although it is probably different for the profile version

I think the big difference is in the center of the wing here.  On the profiles, the crank is moved outboard, but sits mounted on the same horizontal plywood piece.  The Brodak iterations have the center ribs a little taller to make a nice sandwich with the profile body, not sure if the originals J Roberts kits were like that, but I bet they were similar.

And the leading edge parts. Seems Brodak changed these some as well.  I think i could cut the slot in these pretty easy on the ole table saw ~^  It might be a pain to get the angle right on the those splice blocks though...  Otherwise it should be pretty easy to copy,...well easier than the Corsair LL~ LL~On that dog, the middle 14" of leading edge are machined out of a single solid block...gull and all. LL~ LL~

Ty, do you need any parts traced?  H^^

Ty, as soon as I get to the post office the Skyraider plans will be on their way.  They are a copy from FedEx and no charges.  You just owe me a Coke the next time we meet.   H^^

Ty,
I have a JPEG of the complete Swift instructions.  It's a large file.  If you or anyone else wants it, please PM me your email address.

I really like the care that goes into the production of these  J Roberts kits.

Cheers,
Randy

I have both the Swift and Cobra that I have been working on.  Been trying to trace all the parts and make layouts of the Leading/Trailing edges.  Guess I had better get off my duff and get them done.  Both planes very similar in the wing layout.  Only outside shapes are a little different. H^^
