Title: finally got
Post by: wmiii on June 28, 2008, 11:29:48 PM
I finally got my xmas present, Nelson .36carrier engine.  It's bigger than I thought it would be, has a .91 throttle
installed. What would be an appropriate plane, not a MO1, I would like to build a classic design.

 Thanks

Kit wise - the Brodak "Guardian" is always a good choice.  Lotsa Guardians flown "back in the day".  Plan wise - the Leroy Cordes "Kingfisher" comes to mind.  A good design with a proven record in competition and large enough to handle the power of that Nelson.

Thanks, I've looked at the Brodack kit, where would one look for plans of the Kingfisher?

http://www.cpinternet.com/~tawilk36/    Tom Wilk sells a CD with all the carrier plans (and other CDs) and the articles that go with them. Print them out and get them enlarged. There ya go!       Mike

Thanks, but for some reason, the site won't open up for me, no trouble with other site's. I've contacted Tom twice about it, he said nobody else has a problem, doesn't understand why I would.
