Title: carrier in Dallas
Post by: bill bischoff on April 23, 2011, 08:32:30 PM: Just a reminder, Dallas will be having carrier at its contest on Sunday May 1. Even though we haven't had a good Sunday for flying in 2 months, we are ever hopeful!

Post by: dale gleason on May 03, 2011, 02:12:03 PM: We got the Racing portion of the contest done, even some Carrier and Stunt practise prior to dark.
Bill flew the inaugral flights on his cute Crusader, it is really pretty and I must admit, a refreshing new
profile to watch.

But then came Sunday......ED Phil Dunlap and Col Ek were on station, watching weather reports, but when the cold front blew through, dropping the temp from 66 to 44 in a matter of minutes, windy and then incessant rains, lightning like fireworks, it was deemed unflyable, even to those unflappable.

Boat floats at 9:00 AM.
nets up at 8:00 AM.
Flying starts at 10:00
