Just came from the site, Carrier-Deck.com . Reading thru the different venue that have been happening on the other side of the ocean. Their BCD carrier seems to be catching on over there. They are flying in areas we couldn't set up our deck on. 5 gallon pails to lay the deck on and fewer sheets of wood. Yes the deck is narrower and takes more concentration to land on. If I was better off financially I would give it a try. No more squatting on the ground to start engines. Forgot fewer cables to get tangled in. The videos are worth the visit to the site.

Doc, 2 things. First I just got my copy of the 2014 Brodak Carrier DVD. Looks like your really had a good time. 2nd I have been watching and submitting few things to <Carrier Deck> and think it is just great! That's one reason why I built a prototype deck like the one's seen there.

Yeah, with that deck you have to be more careful of the center of the circle. I was surprised in the videos that someone didn't hit the super structure.

That's a really cool idea! y1

Dock, the version I have shows a "delta" type ship smacking the island.

Hallo Carrier fan´s
Here are the dimensions of my carrier
eight segments of the wedge shaped from 1000mm to 898mm and a ramp 1000mm
and a frame of roofing battens
Is the Carrier 9m long and 1.5m wide.
The center of the cover has a radius of 18,30m (60 feet)
The feet are 300mm high screwed with M16 as a side table from Ikea.
(If the designer can think of nothing he takes a screw)
The four arresting wires are weighted with 2.5kg plywood blocks.
This slide well without being destroyed on grass or concrete.
Others have sandbags if they are a weekend of rain, it is not so nice.
or 2l. Plastic milk bottles with water, here is the problem that one is far on fields from a faucet.
the four arresting wires lying on foam rubber 25mm above the deck
so the deck is fast again for the next pilot clear and the aircraft can not be destroyed.
The Graf Zeppelin 2, over 70 have been in competition use times.
The Dutch carrier Karel Doorman has 2 feet of beer benches that are simply folded.
in England I have seen feet that will exist and be turned out of slats. which is also very fast, easy to build.
