Title: Carrier CG

Where are you experienced guys finding the CG of a carrier ship is best. I calculated for 20% but wondering if 20% is a good number for a carrier airplane?

The simple answer is that you want it as far back as possible. Farther back means better low speed but it is a trade off with high speed.

What most do is start at a good, stable CG and then move it back until the high speed flight is just barely under control. It really depends on the plane and how it flies.
