Wow! That brings back some memories. Do you still have the one you flew? Man that was early 70's.

Bob, Inquiring Minds want to know.
Thanks

Frank still has the plane. It actually has been stored in a barn, of sorts. Frank has a building on his property, formerly a barn, that has been converted as a toy building. He has his model stuff, a two place Hyper Lite airplane, and other assorted junk stashed away in there. I was out there yesterday and asked to take a photo or two of the model. I guess I will become its caretaker. I couldn't bring it home because it wouldn't fit in my Harley sidecar. Frank said he would get it to me.
As for my original, it's long gone. Many years ago I was flying it at one of Sam Wright's contests at Columbus and managed to do a genuine stall - spin - crash maneuver. There wasn't anything left worth salvaging.
The magazine article was published in 1972.
P.S. Frank has enough land for a 60 x 1000 ft main runway and an intersecting 600 ft runway so he can fly the real planes just by walking out his back door.
I love this stuff.
