I´m looking for some proflile plane to use in training
But I want a plane with eliptic wing and stab

Do you know where Can I find some plans ?

You have to sign up but they have a lot of free plans for elliptical designs many of which could be adapted or modifed into a nice, elliptical profile model.

Don't let me stop you if it's what you really want, but "profile" and "training" means "should be easy to build" to me, and "elliptical wing" means "hard to build" to me...

You could always find an elliptical-winged full-fuselage model with the right wing design and build that wing, with the bellcrank position modified just enough to be suitable for a profile.

Take a look at the current home page at flyinglines.org. There's a great planform view of Pat Johnston's Epiphany, an elliptical
wing and stab profile design. Pat has several elliptical designs in his plans list.

Downloadable free from aerofred. pentland spitfire . Just iron the fuselage .

Hi Matt,
Pentland's wing needs to come up an inch and an increase to elevator area might get it closer.
If I can get a good copy, I will share it.

Sorry , i was on about the Yatsenko . Printed here at library AFTER Id Posted , surprisingly it came up clear & legable , After id posted .

Muttering & fuming on Spitfire Wings . Ive used Scale + 6 inch added in center .Recently elongated a Std Scale 3 view to same O. A. but
just using the x - y co-ordinates . Near identical but maybe preferable aero dynamically . ' We Imagine ' .

Have been contemplateing a ' Detroiter ' Spitfire / Eliptical wing for centuries. It'd obviously work . Tho the maths could be complicated . But who need maths

Yves Fernandez obviously agrees . A bit of common sense in the scribling/ plotting out , layout - and the plasticity of the timber would find the fit , if there
were ' variations. Intended or otherwise .

The Whinging above relates to a Spitfire having a Eliptically tatered spar.
A Tempest ( Hawker ) Has a Straight Taper . And a L E that is short straight -curve, long straight , curve - short straight .
outer wing . With the T.E. Curved aft of a straight taper straight ( in planform ) spar .

So though theres similarities ( perhaps ) Theyre NOT the SAME .

Youd think they wouldve thought to Hang Onto One , for ME .

incidently some blokes are rebuilding a Typhoon to Fly , and have found a Engine for it now .Planes build from debri - from the ground up .

incidently iit , JP 843 , was a tweaked Kiwi one , Lt Wt. ' wash coat ' paint job .
Flg Of. Price . unfortunately ( like many others ) broke his neck ( as it were ) iin it .
One was first aircraft to intercept a lauched intercontinental ballistic missile , V2 .
Which again unfortunately wasnt there after the missile exploaded , V.C. material .

This is the scale + 6 in ( in middle ) wing. 63 Span . New one under construction is same wing .

Thinking a Geo - Elliptical'd be the go .

Really need to mould & pre dope / sand leading edges BEFORE Fitting , So New one is Detroiter but full rib.

Wanna mould a few sets of L E from it
before I fit to Fuse.

( L Es for next projects ) .

( thats one of the planes the rissole crushed - Melbourne . Dead Sh*t )

Can one of these computor whizz'es confirm say a sin. cos. etc 30 Deg lengthened detroiter rib , will match the unshortened swine , in an
eliptic ving , thanks .

So, I got a copy printed! Should probably frame it as there was some colour in the drawing and it scales to 40X82, thus costing almost $100.00. (Lesson learned, I will now specify b/w only to my printer)
Retried specifying black and white and printed in two parts, now only $22.00. I am getting some ribs and the spar lasered and will try one out to see how it performs, so more in a few months....

Ifan imbercelic printer of PLANS assumes its ' Coloured ' Id think it'd be His Loss .Unless He's a girl. as they like pretty colours .

All this excitements had me piece togeter the Spit Bits to oogle , and The Tempest Drawings ( to sort out ) & the ribs .

With CAD help you could easily do a geodesic eliptical wing.
Once you create the top view and get the ribs in position you loft that in to a wing skin
Next you decide where the ribs go 2D in top wiew
When you project the wireframe to the lofted surface there are your ribs shape
The rest is kind of easy

More tips consider adding legs to glue the ribs right to the plan drawings, that way you could use a flat table lay the plan on the table and using the ribs legs you glue them in position right on too of the plan then is easy to add spars LE and TE sheeting LE sheeting.
Obviously you need some planning so the legs don’t interfere with the build.
