Here is a Sakitumi in Red.  Really fun kit to build, the laser cut parts are just incredible.

Thats a gorgeous plane! I'm now working on the wing on my Sakitumi.  You're right it's a fun kit to build since the quality is soooo good.  I'll likely mount a DoubleStar .40 on the nose.  I'm curious - are those Robart hinges?

I spoke to Walter today asking about push rod hole placement.  He's a real nice guy and makes a super nice kit.

I got a few flights in this weekend.  The plane flies very nice.  I put 1 oz of tip weight, but I think it needs another 1/4 oz.  (i was on 70' lines).  The plane can certainly fly the stunt pattern and is very stable in level flight.   The day was quite windy, but once I moved the lead outs back another 1/2 inch there was never any problem with line tension.  Overhead is very solid.  My good friends Blaine, Art, Don, and Tony were there and said the plane looks really good in the air.

I've got an OS LA46 with a Randy Smith tube muffler on the plane.  The prop I tried this weekend was a xoar 12x4.  Next week I will try the legendary 12.25x3.75 APC prop.

Several people asked me about the leading edge of the wings, yes I doped on a single layer of carbon veil tissue.  That stuff weighs nothing and adds a lot of strength.  It looks really cool under the covering.

The covering is transparent red Ultracote.  The fuselage is Sig red dope with polyurethane clear on top.  The hinges are indeed Robart hinges (I always wanted to try them, they are super simple to install).

As I mentioned earlier, this kit was really fun to build.  The construction photos elsewhere on this website are a real help.  The jig free building method of this kit is spectacular.  And when you are done you get a slick looking plane that flies great.

Super looking model and sounds like ti flies real good!  A good combination for Walter to produce.  His kits are always super.  It's great that we have alter, Tom N., and Mike G. putting out top shelf kits! (hope I didn't leave anyone out in the cottage industry)
