Yep - my check is in the mail.
Still deciding on what engine to put in it. Thanks to EBay, I've picked up a couple of suitable engines - new or near new. I've just cleaned them up and now await my kit.

I've received my kit - fantastic.

Now, I have to decide what to power it with. I now have a new Fox 35, K&B 35 Torpedo, K&B 35 Stallion... thanks to Ebay. I sent my Fox 35 off to Randy Smith for some updates - perhaps that would be the one to power it?

Great Big Thanks to Walter for making such a great Magician Kit!!!  #^Mine arrived 3 days after I ordered it, the packaging was outstanding, and the wood selected for this one is incredibly light. If anyone is looking for competition quality in a kit, look no further than Walter IMHO.  This Magician Kit is without question one of the nicest laser cut precision masterpieces on the planet.  It even comes with a couple of different jigs for shaping the Leading Edge and trailing edge.

The rolled plans are beautifully done full size and also included are a great set of instructions for beginners and seasoned builders.  D>K

we will see how it weighs out as this one gets built.

thanks again for making a great classic model aircraft kit!  One of the best!

Does anybody recall the wingspan of the Midwest Magician kit?  OK, I'm sure the answer is YES.

So what was the kit wingspan?  I owned one and I'm sure it was well over 43".  And I think it might have been over 48", too.

Hi Paul, The Original Magician that Jim S. designed was in fact 43" but truth be told it was never kitted as it designed by Jim Silhavy
until I kitted it as designed by Jim and we called the kit the "Original Magician" so people would know it was not the widely known 48" Magician kit.

Now... every other Magician that was kitted by T.M.P., Midwest, G.S.M. and also by me was 48" with a 1" wing offset; however my kits also show and include one extra rib in case the none competition modeler wanted equal wing panels they could simply look at my plans and make the adjustment to the wing panels to make them equal.

Although I first did not like doing that to my kit, but I gave it a lot of thought then decided Pat had a good idea, so this was added on my plans and still shown on my plans today.

I guess it's good to listen to our elders.  y1  sometimes...  ;)
