Has anyone tried the Wing Jig Kit by Brodak? Is it worth the money , can it be used on lots of different kits?
http://store.sshobbies.com/wingjigkit.html thanks for the help.

Have one that is almost identical to that. Same diminsions. It is not big enough for a full blown stunt plane. Most sport planes are in the 40 inch range. 34 inches is not big enough in my opinion. DOC Holliday

This jig is designed to do one wing panel at a time - then join the two together on a flat surface (or set up with dihedral like the Brodak Spitfire). This creates some challanges but is similar to the way free-flight wings have been made for years. I haven't tried it but I imagine that it would work fine using that technique. 8)

I agree with Pete. Using the jig to build one panel at the time, it should work excellent.

they work OK - I built the Spitfire wing with the jig - it came out "relatively" straight - built in two halves and joined. If you are building a straight wing, do both halves - then re-insert the rods back into the wing centres and join them - the will line up prefectly..........getting the rods out is easy as well- just twist and push them throught to one end and pull them out.
From what I hear, all Brodak kits will have the laser cut holes in the ribs for this jig in the future
