For those that never experienced 35mm SLR cameras and had a chance to accumulate a stash of film canisters, I wonder what they put small stuff in to store in their flight boxes??  Digital is cool, but film did have a small side benefit!

Dan, the old DOC used to use the film canasters, but now the real doctor has me on pills.  Guess I'm a druggy now.   But the pill bottles come in two sizes so far and that is where all my small parts are going. D>K

Childproof caps on the pill bottles have me stymied, so I’m sticking with the film cans.

35mm film canisters also make AWESOME "poor man cheshire" tools for telescopes!  drill a 2mm hole in the bottom (which is always conveniently marked because of the molding process), and voila!  easy Newtonian basic setup!

I bought a bag of #9 lead shot and filled up just about a gazillion 35mm film cans with it. They make dandy weights for holding parts down while the glue dries. After dropping one, I taped the lids on securely.
I also put some of the shot into small zip lock bags to make weights that conform to curved shapes.
I have seen the light, and it’s powered by a lipo.

The new lids are easier for me than the older ones. D>K

As long as you don't twist it too tight.  Never noticed until I tried it.  Had to have the wife open it for me, so it stays the regular way. n~

I built drawers into my workbench.  One large drawer, 15" wide and 10" deep has only sandpaper.  I tend to not toss out used sandpaper, because it's still good!  Amazing how much accumulates!  I discovered I had at least 10 pieces of 220 grit, mostly used.  After tossing out some of the smaller pieces, the drawer is now sort of organized.

Doc, the plastic deforms and locks the threads(poor design, I think) when you grab and twist on those upside-down type caps. Pinch the upright rim while grasping the brown bottle and it'll spin right off, even when tight.

Hey, if the Special Olympics ever has a pill swallowing team, I might qualify, Lol.
