Title: Which holes at the flap horn for flap and elevator linkage?
Post by: RknRusty on February 09, 2014, 05:53:37 PM
I'm now rigging up the controls on my Profile Yak-9. I've looked at models and some connect the bellcrank to the top hole in the flap horn, then the elevator to the second hole. Others are reversed. Which is the best starting point?

These are the horns I'm using:

Thanks.

Here is what I would do but I am sure there are other ways. You can move the elevator rod up if its light.

I would suggest making sure that you can change the elevator pushrod on the flap horn to any of the other holes. I would start with much less than 1:1 movement, a lot more elevator than flap.
