Gents,
Just wanted to show off the Vector 40. First let me say that there are some great people out there. After my trials of late, I was made a present of several planes for my arsenal,( I seem to be in the ummm rather steep part of the learning curve.) Rod Clause donated this Vector to my cause it came in one peice, well thewings and tail were on it and covered, but needed finishing. Well I got the wood prepped and shot some color on it thes weekend. Turned out ok, as Randy says, its servicable. need to hinge it, mount the engine and get some flying in!
thanks Rod,,
(and the others that donated to the cause as well......)

Nice looking plane...that's a castoff?

yes, well the it came to me assembled and with the wing covered, the covering, well its not a front row job. This coicided with him deciding to go to bigger planes. I did the remainder of the finish work and the paint after it was generously located into my van by Rod,,,,

Mark does nice finish work. I saw the Vector after Rod gave it to him. Trust me, it didn't looks this good.
Should be a fun plane for you, Mark.

Vector looks great and also looks better than you(joke!). The Vector is a good flying plane. I liked mine a lot. It flew like my Grinder so it gave me a lot of handle time so I didn't wear my Grinder out. For a small plane it can carry a pretty hefty wing loading. Mine wieghted 54 ounces and was powered by a Super Tigre 46. I think you will like this plane a lot after you get it trimmed. You got a good deal on this one. Too bad Clause didn't want it! #^ #^ #^ #^ #^ #^ #^ #^ HB~>

To bad for HIM, not to bad for me eh? Hws the new plane flying Leo? I almost have the Gee Bee back together, Hinging the surfaces tonight. Trim monokote tomorrow, then its reaffirm weight and balance and test fly. Should be all tweaked into shape for Mcminnville, The vector gets finished after the =GB. this week. I hope to test fly the Vector in Pasco next sunday before our meeting.

Hey, it looks great to this point. I like simple paint schemes especially yours. Now we need pictures of the finished product. Have fun, DOC Holliday
