twister Questions

Has anyone built a Twister without flaps?I'm thinking of leaving everything else stock(tail moments etc).I'm a novice flyer haven't even started to fly any pattern yet

I built one with flaps and after a crash, rebuilt it without them. 

Flys fine.

I think a plane this size can be as good - or better - with the flpas stationary. 

You said you're a beginner - you can easily learn to fly the pattern with a no-flap Twister, and more up to a flapped "pro" stunter later.

The first pitcher is "stock" as built for the 1990 Sig.

The second is after it was crashed & rebuilt in 2006.  Flaps were "fixed" and LE sheet and capstrips added.

The Twister without flaps will still be a very good choice.  The upside is that you don't have the flap issues of alignment, etc to deal with...  same approach Ted F took when he did the Doctor....   And, as the Twister gets some time, maybe during one of the rebuilds, flaps can be added...
