Hi Steve,
I have never used the primer you speak of but I have used 2 part primer. It worked really great for me over the wood areas such as the fuse etc. But I would reccommend caution when doing the wing. Do not spray over the open bay areas especially where the wood ends and the paper starts. If you spray the leading edge of a D tube wing mask off the silkspan to at least 1/4 in. over the wood edge. After the masking is removed remember to feather the edge of the primer where it met the tape. On my first one I did not do this and the primer cracked under the final coat of paint all around the open bay perimeter. There was no way to fix it except to remove and recover. That was my experience. Apparently the primer I used was brittle and it cracked from the pressure I applied to the paper when wet sanding. OH and another thing sand, sand, sand and remove as much as you can to remove weight which you should do no matter what primer you use.

Never used this stuff. I have used K-36 (Ditzler) and it worked fine. I shot it over open bays without issue, but the airframe already had several coats of clear and was past the re-shrink point.

The stuff I used was pretty heavy, to it took a lot of sanding.
