Title: Tank Setting ?
Post by: Terry Bolin on February 15, 2010, 02:27:32 PM
I am finishing up a Full body Stearman and have a few thoughts on how to make the tank adjustable without a hatch on the bottom of the fus but what have you guys seen done that was successful and do you have pictures?  I would rather not have to have a hatch but can if I must.  I am using a 4.5 oz tank on a OS 46. Thanks for your two cents. Does this belong in "Open" instead of building Tech?
Thanks, Terry

What OS .46? Upright, inverted or sidemounted? Uniflow or not? If it's an inverted .46LA and uniflow, I may have an answer for you. Otherwise, not.  :-\ Steve

Terry,

Also, is the engine beam-mounted, or are you using an R/C type radial mount?

Sorry, I didn't think about posting that info too. I will be using a RC Round mount, OS 46 CL side mounted . Let me know what else you may need. Thanks! Terry

Got it, I came up with an external adjustment using a nylon wing bolt. Thanks, T
