What kind of glue will work for Styrofoam and Plastic? Epoxy? ???
-
I used to build a lot of indoor foamie airplanes, especially for other people. This was extremely popular. I like it a lot. But, epoxy works just fine. This glue is flexible, where epoxy is not.

Do hobby shops carry that do you know?

Epoxy tends to be heavy, and way stronger than it needs to be to get the job done -- but it does work.
Depending on the job at hand:
- epoxy with lots of microballoons mixed in
- Canopy glue (like "RC56" -- names often have "56" or "560" in them)
- foam-safe CA
- "low temperature" hot glue -- it's heavy unless you really control the film thickness, but it's fast and effective
- My favorite for crash repair on Phil Cartier-style foam wings is Gorilla Glue. Follow the directions on the package -- it needs water to kick it off. If you need to fill a big void, squirt some on a card and mix in a bit of water, then pour it in the hole.

GG (Gorilla Glue) the white stuff works very well. Most combat builders use it on foam to anything else.

Yeah I buy it at hobby people. But I belive hobby town usa carries it.
Also, like Tim and Ken said, the white gorilla glue is awesome. I forgot about that one

Gorilla glue. If that doesn't last, rebuild the mount with a 1/8" thick plywood plate that's about twice as wide and twice as long.

Cool! Thanks Tim I'll give it a try.

For that, I too nominate Gorilla Glue. Its all I use on foam and a lot of wood now too.
