Source for Clear Acetate Sheets
« on: May 26, 2022, 06:27:48 AM »
Anyone have a reasonable source for Clear Acetate Sheets? I have looked at the craft stores and they only have very thin sheets. I need something around 4"x10" for a Barnstomer canopy. Any ideas?

Best,    DennisT

Check your pharmacy, my mom is in a home and when I visit I have to wear a face shield, some  are thicker than others, the thicker  ones  would work very well for a sown canopy. I used them to make windows for a SIG Kadet Sr., worked very well, sorry I get mine free so I don't know what they cost.

Brodak sells clear plastic sheets. They are labelled as Sig products. On a quick look, I didn't see them on Sig's site, though. A clear plastic soda bottle might also provide what you need.

K&S puts out clear plastic sheets. Not acetate but they should be the size you need. I think they have it available up to .030" thick.

Balsa USA has it. I don't remember the price but it is or was under $5.00. Shipping is not free   Dennis
