Guy's
At the assembly stage of building a Brodak Smoothie Kit and I need some real life
flying positions of the leadouts.I spoke to John Miller re the location on the plan, as Classic
Stunt in OZ requires the plane to be built as it was designed,so I need fixed leadouts.
Has anyone else used the fixed position on the Smoothie?
Thanks

In my life time I have built three Smoothies and all three were box stock. One of them was for my brother to play with. Bob Palmer knew what he was doing with the Smoothie.

Have posted a photo of leadout position as per Brodak plan,I just need to know
if anyone using the Brodak Smoothie has their leadouts similar to this.
And does it fly OK.
Thanks

Adjustable leadouts bro. Cut out the balsa section, substitue maple block with holes for eyelets with a slot. If you can build a Smoothie, you can make adjustable leadouts.

That pretty well limits responses.

Paul, check the latest rules.
There was a requirement which banned adjustable lead-outs and tip weight boxes but I think that, after some representations, those restrictions were relaxed.

I built one exactly according to the plans(a rare thing) It flys fine with a B40 and the shown leadout position.
