The Tom Dixon foam wing kit is nearing completion. Engine will be an Evo.52, weight about 50 ounces. I figure the wing area to be 596 sq. in. I did core the stab/elev and add 1/16 sheet top and bottom to fatten them. I shortened the nose per the plans for a heavier engine and didn't take fuel tank compartment into consideration. The Du-bro 4 ounce tank just fits and holds 4.5 ounces just enough for the pattern. It comes with a sheeted foam wing and full span flaps. It's an easy build. The finish is Brodak/Randolph dope with painted Monokote wings and stab/elev.

While the last paint color was drying I took the Evo .52 off the Pathfinder and installed it in the Ringmaster. Then I took the Evo .60 c/l off the Mandarin and installed on the Pathfinder. No change to the Pathfinder with the bigger engine.
The balance of the Ringmaster came out 1/8 inch behind the plans location. A plastic prop would cure that but not yet. Ready to fly weight is 52.3 ounces. The engine, prop, tongue muffler and spinner adds 15 ounces to the plane. The Pathfinder weighs an ounce or two more than the Ringmaster so things should be good to go once the paint is cured and the winds are right.
