Title: Quick and easy wing jig
Post by: Allan Perret on April 02, 2009, 09:31:58 PM
I already had jig blocks with square notches, but I had a Ringmaster kit with preshaped LE and TE. I came up with a quick & easy way to throw together a wing jig using 3 pieces of aluminum angle and cut some custom jig blocks from white foam board. Stacked 6 pieces of the foam board together with masking tape and cut in the profile of LE on one set and TE on another set using my bandsaw. Used hot glue gun to stick the foam jig blocks to the angles. Whole thing took less than an hour. Works great. If you dont have any metal angles, you could do it on the cheap by gluing together 2 strips of 1/4 masonite or MDF for each of the angles.

It still amazes me what people come up with.  Each every time I keep wondering why I didn't think of it.  Thanks for the idea.  Having fun,  DOC Holliday
