This is my first attempted at covering with Polyspan and I have sanded through and created some fuzzies on the leading edge. The question is how much clear does one have to apply before they can be knocked down? Is there a better way to get rid of the fuzzies, like rubbing CA on them then sanding? I thought I had applied enough clear to prevent this from happening, but this is not the case :-[
Thank you for your help

Robert,
The best thing I've found is to patch the spot where you sanded through with a piece of silkspan and go on from there as usual.

Thin CA is the easiest way to cure the fuzzies. It is virtually impossible to put enough clear on it to get them to go away once they appear.

When I sanded into the polyspan, I finally gave up and removed it. Don't think there is enough clear dope in the state to fix it!! The patch idea may work if the area isn't too large.

Thank you for your help. I will probably give both methods a try on different areas of the model to gain experience. I had read all of the cautions about sanding through the dope, yet I still managed to do this on the leading edge. The good news is the areas are small so the fix should not add to much weight.

Thin CA, wipe over it with a paper towel to kick it. It works.
