Some doublers of 1/8th balsa on the ribs, and have the 1/8th ply flush with the top of the ribs so that it glues firmly to the center sheeting. If it's glued that way, it will be safe since it will have to not only rip out the ribs, but the sheeting as well. If you feel the need, add some 1/4" sq. subspars to the center ribs at the front and rear of the ply.
